Most of you reading this blog have already heard by now, but I thought I should put it up on here just to make it even more official. As of just a few days ago, I have officially accepted a position to be the Music Intern and direct assistant to the Music Supervisor for the upcoming Broadway production of George & Ira Gershwin's "Nice Work If You Can Get It", starring Tony-award winning actor Matthew Broderick: Tony-nominated actress Kelli O'Hara: And directed by Tony-award winner Kathleen Marshall: So, needless to say, this all pretty durn exciting. And I'm going to be directly involved in the rehearsal process, working with the musicians and the actors to put the whole show together, not just brewing coffee and making copies (though I'm sure I'll be doing some of that too). Now, the next order of business: find a place to live in NYC. More to come on that soon...
Also, thanks to everyone for the absurd amount of Facebook love. 204 "likes" and 69 comments on my announcement... damn. I may not be able to respond to each one of you individually, but you all rock! Cheers, ~James B
